Grace vs. Race

In this clip, listen as these two students describe their identities and how they respond to people who ask them what their race is. Both tend to base their identities off of their parent’s cultural heritage. The interviewer pushes them further, asking them to describe how they think about themselves in terms of race. One student responds:

I think I am Asian-American and then different kinds because I have a loooong long line of family.
