Reminiscing the CD

In this clip, listen as an older generation Black Seattleite reminisces about what the Central District looked like in the past and how much it has changed. She shares with listeners and the younger generation Seattleite in the clip about how much the CD has changed since she was young. She describes what different stores used to be when they were more majority Black-owned stores and how, walking down the street, she would see friends and people she knew frequently. Her oral account of the history of the CD is a testament to the changes the neighborhood has experienced.
