Sustaining Practices As Our Refusal

Listen as one Black graduate student describes how she not only draws inspiration from other Black women in her community to constantly create and practice sustainable resistance. She reflects on how the work extracts energy, and it is necessary to know when to say yes or no to labor. Especially because labor can create wear and tear on the mind and body, we must make sure we can sustainably endure, engage, and resist.

The work is so extractive right now and I know that has long-term effects on the body and for our mental health and well-being.
