Listen as a Black woman shares how she has come to understand the non-monolithic nature of Blackness and ways of being Black. She describes how she has observed how Blackness is treated monolithically and how when she comes across people who share that mentality, even in the Black community, she can’t share that perspective. She challenges perceptions of the monolith and makes connections and friends beyond race, partially because of how she was raised.
