In this clip, listen as two Black students discuss their desire for a united approach to combating racism. One student describes how they watch movies and documentaries of the Civil Rights movement and how different organizations united. While they recognize that the same approach won’t be used today, they still are looking for that sense of collective action. Both students observe how there is a lot of division that still prevails in the fight for social justice ranging from who can say the n-word to who is included in the Black Lives Matter movement. They both see a collective unity as the best, strongest way to making change.
