I Went and Got Someone Who Could Interrupt the Problem

Listen as a Black student describes experiences in which she strategically interrupted racism by getting someone who would be more effective at interrupting. She shares how she overheard a racist conversation occurring between her peers and made the decision to get an adult because she knew that they would be more effective at addressing the problem. While there were other moments when she herself interrupted racism in the past and there would be more in the future, she recognized that the message and its reception are just as important as the messenger.

I went and I didn’t exactly interrupt their conversation but I went and got an adult to could address it
