Race & Social Justice in the PD

In this clip, a Black man police officer shares what his position as the Race and Social Justice coordinator entails in his department. While his work as coordinator isn’t necessarily in full swing due to the pandemic, as a sergeant, he is now in charge of a team of mostly civilians that works toward crime prevention for different communities. He describes how his team has done incredible work and is deeply connected to a diverse range of communities in the city.

I have learned that they do SO much work… I truly get just the amount of work that they do for the different precincts that they’re stationed at and the importance they provide for their community
