In this brief but impactful clip, a Black friend talks about how watching police brutality on social media is a major stressor and makes her feel sick and tense. She experiences a visceral physical reaction when watching videos of police violence. During the protests for justice for George Floyd, she tended to stay away from social media. The stress of social media on the body is not only a reminder of the physical impacts of media but also of how reproducing police brutality on social media creates a cycle of violence that is inescapable.
