They question whether these videos are actually effective at mobilizing people and education by sharing information. It’s as though people need evidence of racism in order to mobilize against it. Yet, these dialogue partners wonder whether these videos actually serve to sway anyone or only cause further strife.
I feel like in my mind, the people who already know about this don’t really need to see videos about it to mobilize them… But then it kind of just angers them more. And then the people who have no opinion, I don’t necessarily think that video is going to do anything because I feel like people will always make excuses for injustice.
