Does It Really Actually Help Anything?

In this clip, listen as a white student discusses impact of watching videos of police violence on social media. She describes how often scrolling through social media can be very mindless and it is very easy to ignore the content that is irrelevant to people. She says that videos of police violence might ultimately not be reaching the audiences or people they need to reach and even if they do then they are easily ignored. As a result, she poses this question:

I feel like the people who have no opinion or an opinion that should be changed about that, it’s easier for them to ignore those videos too. So it’s like are you really actually helping get this issue in front of people that need to know about it?
