Living Shall Not Be in Vain

Listen as a Black sister describes to her brother her philosophy on kindness and what it means to spread kindness in the midst of immense suffering. As the leader of an organization, she reflects on how little support she receives and how much of a difference it would make if she did. For her, support comes in different forms and is rooted in kindness and lending a helping hand. Her philosophy is rooted in community care and ensuring that the community is collectively uplifting because everyone is offering their kindness. She recalls these lyrics to summarize her point:

If I can help somebody as I pass along with just a kind word, then my living shall not be in vain.
