In this clip, listen as a UW student shares how pandemic paranoia has essentially become normalized for her. She reflects on how she cleaned and washed her hands excessively when the pandemic started because she was scared of catching or spreading COVID. Those cleaning routines she developed during the height of the pandemic have lessened but are still present and normal habits in her routine now because she knows more about COVID and feels more comfortable with how to handle it.
I would always wash my hand out of paranoia of spreading it. I would do it to the point where my hands would be very raw and red.
