Living Downtown During the Height of the Summer 2020 Protests

In this clip, a UW student describes his anxiety and fear with living downtown and commuting during the BLM protests given the heightened racist violence that plagued the area. He describes how he heard reports of people being jumped by the proud boys and feared the same would happen to him.

Everyday worrying, ‘am I going to walk outside and some proud boys are gonna jump me?’…that had a big impact on me and I didn’t say anything to anybody
