Her conversation partner comments that that is the reason why she doesn’t have her picture on video calls. Being online and sometimes connecting with people who are overseas makes it challenging to have conversations about these microaggressions because it is hard to follow up.
Sometimes I feel like they can see that little brown face. And so they’re just going to choose not to respond to that little brown face.
