They reflect on what it looks like to find safe spaces and how they can empower them to speak out in other areas of their programs. Yet being able to recognize what space they can speak out in and where they should just keep the peace is an art form, they both are working on mastering. It doesn&#8217;t help that they experience imposter syndrome which is externally affirmed when they experience microaggressions from faculty, making them question whether they belong in their programs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If it&#8217;s a hard day, then it&#8217;s hard to find self affirmations like &#8220;I DO belong here. I AM doing this right.
