They reflect on how the new variant is broadcasted as increasingly harmful for Black people and how the media is portraying the disparity in care, which feeds their anxieties through increased fearmongering. COVID-19 is another terrible reminder of the inequity in our health care systems and impacts on Black communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>We just can&#8217;t trust the health care system to really care for us in ways that will sustain our lives or give us greater quality of life.
