In this clip, two Black students share what interrupting racism looks like for them and when they interrupt racism. One student describes that she interrupts racism when the time, place, and space are right. It isn’t something she does in a rush, rather, she makes sure she has time to delve into a discussion and someone will be receptive to her. The other student acknowledges the challenges faced when interrupting privilege because it can be an exhausting. They agree that interruption is necessary and most effective when it happens collectively, but it has to happen in the first place and they notice it rarely does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I choose to interrupt and I know I can get somewhere or if it’s like a minor thing I can handle because I can’t handle it all on my own but I can try and help them steer them into the right direction where they can self educate<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
