While she does have peer mentoring and coworkers that have been able to work through things together, there has never been someone in the field with experience that has offered her necessary guidance. This is partly due to the small number of Black people in her line of work, and she is working to building more of a network throughout her career. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>I can&#8217;t say that I&#8217;ve had a lot of mentors.
