This Is When Leaders Are Supposed to Step Forward When Things Are Really Tough

In this clip, a Black man police officer shares his perspective on the chief of police leaving and the impact of her leaving. While he does understand the former chief’s reasoning, he still observes that leadership means being able to step forward when things get difficult. Instead, her leaving has created a gap in the department and how to move forward.

There is definitely more of a negative impact of her leaving than a positive impact on our department.
