In this clip, a visitor to the Northwest African American Museum on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2024 shares the negatives and positives of her experience being Black in Seattle. As a Black person with many important titles now, but who grew up in redlined Seattle, she has had a diversity of experiences.

I’ve met so many people who look like me who have done fantastic things with me, for me, together in terms of changing what I consider the uncomfortableness of the benign racism of Seattle.
