Listen as UW graduate students share how being accepted in a cohort made their initial visit to grad school more bearable because they could lean on each other. They discuss how they felt safe and seen around each other in an environment that wasn’t built for women of color like them.

We’re sticking together because those other people were out for themselves. And that’s it. I felt that way. And I was like, no, I’m here to get an education. And actually, build a community.
