Listen as two first gen UW students commiserate over navigating conversations about vaccines with their parents. One student recognized the fear and hesitation their parents displayed around the vaccines given the history of violence and discrimination inflicted by the medical community on their community. They had to balance these fears against keeping everyone and themselves safe.
It kinda makes them question like ‘should we even trust them after a long period of time we’ve been actively hurt by the system?
