Student Groups During the Pandemic

Listen as UW students share how difficult doing group work for classes during the pandemic. They describe how challenging it was to balance holding their classmates accountable for not doing work while also giving them grace because everyone was struggling with the pandemic. They also remember how much easier it was to do group work before the pandemic because it they could do it in class or go to the library. After the pandemic, zoom is the default way to meet with groups which has changed student dynamics.

And then after 2020 when we came back to in person, we would have time in class but even we would decide ‘let’s just do it in zoom’ and I think that’s just the norm now.
