Dual Identity and Vulnerability

Listen as two Black women faculty commiserate about where and when they felt they could be vulnerable as they worked during the pandemic. Their positions as leaders and mothers required them to exude strength and stability in every aspect of their lives. They talk about what it looks like for them to be emotional at work and how they gauge what parts of their lives they share with others and each other.

I can share this much. I have to share a little bit because you have to see me as human but there is danger in me sharing too much. I think about that often with so many of us who are in these positions.
